Changing the owning node pool of a node of OceanStor 9000

A node pool is the basic unit of a storage tier. A node pool consists of multiple nodes.

Procedure for configuring node pool properties of OceanStor 9000: 1. Log in to DeviceManager. 2. Choose Provisioning > InfoTier > Tier Management. 3. Select the owning storage tier of the node pool whose properties you want to configure in the upper part of the page (the initial owning storage tiers of all node pool are defaultTier). Select the node pool whose properties you want to configure in the lower part of the page, and click Properties. 4. In the Node Pool Properties window that is displayed, configure the node pool properties, and click OK.

Procedure for modifying node pool properties of OceanStor 9000: 1. Log in to DeviceManager. 2. Choose Provisioning > InfoTier > Tier Management. 3. Select the owning storage tier of the node pool whose properties you want to modify in the upper part of the page. 4. Select the node pool whose properties you want to modify in the lower part of the page, and click Properties. 4. In the Node Pool Properties window that is displayed, modify node pool properties as required. 5. Click OK.

Prerequisites: The node pool you want to delete does not contain any nodes.Procedure for deleting a node pool of OceanStor 9000: 1. Log in to DeviceManager. 2. Choose Provisioning > InfoTier > Tier Management. 3. Select the owning storage tier of the node pool you want to delete in the upper part of the page. 4. Select the node pool you want to delete in the lower part of the page, and click Delete.

The owning storage pool of a node is configured during system deployment. To change the owning node pool of a node, delete it from the storage system first, and then expand the storage system to add it to another node pool.
