Viewing a quota of OceanStor 9000

Mandatory quota thresholds of the OceanStor 9000 InfoAllocator feature: - Recommended threshold: When the used storage space or file quantity reaches the recommended threshold, OceanStor 9000 does not restrict writes but only reports an alarm. - Soft threshold: When the used storage space or file quantity reaches the soft threshold, OceanStor 9000 generates an alarm but allows data writing before the grace period expires. After the grace period expires, OceanStor 9000 forbids data writing immediately and generates an alarm. You need to configure a soft threshold and grace period at the same time. - Hard threshold: When the storage space or file quantity usage reaches the hard threshold, OceanStor 9000 generates a run log and immediately forbids data writing.

The quota of the OceanStor 9000 InfoAllocator feature is determined by user/user group, directory, and quota type.

Procedure for creating a quota for OceanStor 9000: 1. Choose Provisioning > InfoAllocator. 2. Click Create, the Create Quota dialog box is displayed. 3. In the Create Quota dialog box, set the quota path, user/user group, name, quota type, quota mode, and quota thresholds. Then, click OK. 4. In the Execution Result dialog box, if the value of State is Succeeded, click Close. The quota is created SUCCEEDly.

Procedure for modifying a quota of OceanStor 9000: 1. Choose Provisioning > InfoAllocator. 2. On the InfoAllocator page, select the quota whose properties need to be modified and click Properties. Note: -Enter the name of a user or user group and click Search to search for all quotas of the user or user group. -Click Advanced Search to search for quotas based on the combination of user/user group, directory, quota type, and quota mode. -If a user or user group for which a quota is created is deleted, UID of the user or user group is displayed in the search result. The UID is automatically generated when the system creates the user or user group. 3. In the Properties of a Quota dialog box, change the quota mode or the quota threshold but retain the quota type. Then, click OK. 4. The Success dialog box is displayed, indicating that the quota is modified SUCCEEDly. Click OK.

Procedure for deleting a quota of OceanStor 9000: 1. Choose Provisioning > InfoAllocator. 2. On the InfoAllocator page, select the quota to be deleted and click Delete. 3. In the displayed Confirm dialog box, carefully read the contents of the dialog box and click OK. 4. In the Execution Result dialog box, click Close. The quota is deleted SUCCEEDly.
