An RH5885 V2 supports four Intel? Xeon? E7-8800/4800 (Westmere-EX) series CPUs. The four CPUs are connected through six QuickPath buses of full bandwidth.
Two 4-socket RH5885 V2 servers form one 8-socket RH5885 V2 server through QPIs. The 8-socket server supports Intel? Xeon? E7-8800 (Westmere-EX) series CPUs. The eight CPUs are connected through 12 QuickPath buses of full bandwidth.

CPU configuration: The 8-socket server must be configured with all CPUs and the 4-socket server can be configured with two or four CPUs. ? In principle, an RH5885 V2 8-socket server is not allowed to be divided into two 4-socket servers unless the customer requests it. If it is divided and a CPU error occurs on one server, the CPU error will also be reported on the other server. In this case, you need to use the BMC for 4-socket servers instead.

E5 2600
Intel Xeon E5-2600 and E5-2600 v2 are Sandy Bridge CPUs provided by Intel for mainstream 2-socket servers. Huawei RH2288H V2 and RH1288 V2 servers support E5-2600 and E5-2600 v2 CPUs.

Two RH5885 V2 4-socket servers cannot be combined into one 8-socket server. To upgrade a 4-socket server to an 8-socket server, you need to use the BMC for 8-socket servers and upgrade the BIOS version to a version for 8-socket servers.
