dBm: Decibel-milliwatts, mW: milliwatts.
dB is a logarithmic ratio, but dBm is a relative unit to 1 mW.
You can convert P(mW) to dBm by using the following equation:
Power(in dBm) = 10*log (P(in mw)/ 1 mw))
example:
so 1 mW = 0 dBm
10 mw = 10 dBm
100 mw = 20 dBm
1000 mw = 30 dBm
.1 mw = -10 dBm
.01 mw = -20 dBm
.001 mw = 1 uw = -30 dBm
