Before installing the storage system, plan the power supply system of an equipment room and determine a power supply solution for the bays. These operations ensure that the storage system runs correctly after it is installed.
To ensure data security, each controller enclosure of the storage system is equipped with four backup battery units (BBUs). This ensures that the data is written to coffer disks if the storage system is unexpectedly powered off. In addition, the specifications of these power supplies must conform to the availability requirements specified in tier 2 or higher tier of the TIA942 (Standards of telecommunication infrastructure in data centers).
The AC power supplies of an equipment room must be deployed before the device installation. You can deploy the power supplies according to the availability requirements specified in tier 2 or higher tier of the TIA942. If possible, use two independent power distribution frames (PDFs) to input power to each bay and configure an independent uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for each bay.
