Configuring the Ip dslam mode on the MA5100

Hello, sir!

What is the difference between the general model and the  Ip dslam mode when the MA5100 (V100R003B10) is configured with the  Ip dslam mode and a VLAN is added?

Hello, friend!


In general, mode, add a VLAN to the board, and set the default VLAN&NBSP of the port. And then add a PVC. In IPDSLAM mode, however, you can specify a VLAN when adding a PVC.

When the board works in the IPDSLAM mode, the LAN switch function of the LAN board is disabled. The LAN board is equivalent to a hub. Therefore, the port does not need to be divided into VLANs. The default VLAN is nbsp. VLAN, PORT  The VLAN parameter does not need to be set. You do not need to set whether to cascade (tag or untag mode).  


When the board works in the general mode, the VLAN is managed by the LAN switch chip of the LAN board. In this case, you need to divide the port VLAN and set the default VLAN and NBSP. VLAN, PORT  Parameters such as VLAN.
