Context
-
System management network port
This type of port is used to manage the storage system through a network.
-
IPMI port
This type of port is used to manage the SVP through a network.
The SVP runs Windows Server 2008. This section describes how to configure management network ports by using Windows Server 2008 as an example. Adjust the operations based on actual conditions.
Procedure
- Open the KVM.
-
On the SVP login page, enter the user name and password.
NOTE:
- The default user name and password are Administrator and Admin@storage respectively.
- The password used for logging in to the SVP is valid for 42 days by default. When the password is about to expire, the system asks you to change the password.
- You are advised to change the default login password immediately after you have logged in to the SVP for the first time and periodically change your login password in the future. This reduces the password leakage risks.
- On the SVP interface, choose Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Add or remove user accounts. From the account list, choose the account whose password you want to modify and modify the password as instructed.
-
Press Enter.
