Configuring Device Sharing Between Domains in VCN

272 0 0 0 0

After two domains are interconnected with each other, the local domain can share cameras with the peer external domain. This enables users in the external domain to view live and recorded video of the cameras. This topic describes how to share cameras of domain B (p*** department in city B) with domain A (provincial p*** department).

Procedure

  1. Log in to the C/S client of domain B (p*** department in city B) as the admin user and double-click Share Device, as shown in Figure 1.

      • To share all devices that have been shared with the external domain with another external domain, click Share with Other Domains and select another external domain.
      • After local domain cameras are shared with an external domain, if the local domain server is restarted, the shared cameras on the C/S client of the external domain are in offline state. You can log in to the OMU portal of the external domain and refresh the shared device status.
      • After a local domain camera is shared with an external domain, if you click Cancel Sharing to cancel the sharing status of the camera and then share the camera with the same external domain again, the generated connection code is the same as that before the sharing is canceled.
      • After a local domain camera that is shared with an external domain is deleted, the connection code will be retained for seven days. If you add the camera again within seven days and share it with the same external domain, the connection code remains unchanged. If you perform these operations after seven days, the connection code will change.
