- Check the license.
- Log in to the web management system of the Unified Gateway U1900 series as the administrator.
- Choose System > License Information.Allocate resource for VMS.
- Access the web management system, and choose System > Board Configuration.
- Right-click the MTU and choose Configure from the shortcut menu.
- On the MTU Parameter Configuration page, set the value for Number of VMS Channels and set Meeting board,

- Verify the number of SD cards.
- Initialize an SD card.
The SD cards need to be initialized during the first use. To ensure compatibility, use the SD cards provided by Huawei.
- Log in to a U1900 series unified gateway using the CLI and access the Config mode.
- Delete the voice messages on the entire board.

- Check VMS scripts.
- Access the web management system, and choose System > Script Management.
- Click the Script Management tab and verify that the VMS scripts listed in the following table exist.

- Access the web management system, and choose User > Global Service. Click Configure next to VMS.
