By associating IPv4 static routes with static BFD sessions, you can quickly detect changes in the link from the local device to the destination address of the route, improving network reliability.
Pre-task
Before configuring association between IPv4 static routes and static BFD sessions, complete the following tasks:
Configure link layer protocol parameters and IP addresses for interfaces to ensure that adjacent nodes are reachable at the network layer.
Operation Procedure
1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
2. Run the ip route-static ip-address {mask | mask-length} {nexthop-address | interface-type interface-number [nexthop-address]} [preference preference | tag tag] * track bfd-session cfg-name [description text] command to bind a static BFD session to a public IPv4 static route.
