Please find below the procedure
- Enable the DHCP function.
Choose . The DHCP Configuration page is displayed, as shown in Figure 7-2. In Global Settings, select Start and click Apply. The DHCP function is enabled globally.

- Create a VLAN interface.
- Choose . The VLAN interface configuration page is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.
- In VLAN Interface List, click Create. On the Create VLAN Interface page that is displayed, select or enter parameters to configure a VLAN interface.
- Click OK to save the configuration. The VLAN with the ID of 100 is created.
- Configure a radio.
- Choose . The WLAN configuration page is displayed.
- Enter parameters in Radio Setting.
- Click Apply. The configured parameters take effect.
- Create a WLAN.
In WLAN List, click Create. On the Create WLAN page that is displayed, select or enter parameters to configure basic WLAN parameters.
NOTE:- Select the VLAN ID that is created in Step 2.
- This example uses the WPA+PSK+TKIP encryption mode, and the password is huawei@123.
Click OK to save the WLAN configuration. The WLAN with the SSID of huawei-1 is created.
Select the configured WLAN huawei-1 and click Start in WLAN List. The configured WLAN is enabled.
NOTE:STAs can access a local network only after WLAN is enabled.
- Verify the configuration.
# The WLAN with the SSID huawei-1 is available for STAs, and these STAs can connect to the WLAN after the password huawei@123 is entered.
# Choose . In WLAN List that is displayed, you can check the quantity of STAs connected to the WLAN in Access User Quantity.
Configuration Notes
The DHCP service function must be enabled on the VLAN interface. Otherwise, the STA that connects to the WLAN cannot obtain an IP address.
