Configured PRA between U2980 and Nortel 81C. I can call from Nortel to U2980 but cannot call from U2980 to Nortel. Any help?

Firstly, please check settings of U2980 and Nortel 81C. Prefix, office, trunk....etc. If they are configured correct. Please test and captuer call log trace by LMT of U2980 and also need capture call log on Nortel 81C side. Analysis call log trace, you can find issue reason. If issue still exact, please connect TAC help.

do you hear a failure message .. what is it if it exists?

also I think we need to check call logs and wireshark captures to check the call failure

Thank you for posting on our Huawei Forum. In order to further troubleshoot the reported issue we would need the following information:

-Firmware version of the U2980
- How exactly does the call fail?
- Current network topology
- Network capture performed via LMT on all modules and IP address assignation in order to follow the exact call flow
- Output of the command Display PRA Link Status (DSP PRALNK) to check if it is active and the work mode

- Trace using the PRA command in order to capture PRA messages exchanged

For these kinds of request we would recommend to open a case based on your Huawei contract number to the regional TAC so that a Huawei engineer can troubleshoot further this issue since also a remote session might be needed to gather the data/logs and analyze it.

Thanks for reply. Following is the scenario....

Huawei U2980...............PRA Link..............Nortel PBX.

U2980 User is 3110
Nortel User is 2314

Prefix from Huawei to Nortel is 98
Prefix from Nortel to Huawei is 7305....

From 2314, I dial 73053110, 3110 rings, Call is established with good voice.
From 3110, I dial 982314, no ring on 2314, Display of 3110 shows , this call can not be connected.

No trace is found on PRA Messages when making outgoing call.

I think, I need to do some configuration in source code, rout selection code and RTANA etc.....
