Do you know what is VMR conference? In this topic, I will share with you what is VMR conference, which terminals support the function, and how to configure VMR conference.
What is VMR conference
A fixed VMR number is assigned to a terminal. The terminal can directly dial a VMR conference or click the VMR conference link to join the conference. These fixed VMR numbers are like a virtual meeting place, so they are called virtual meeting rooms(VMR).
The VMR conference service is provided as an individual VMR service. The VMR number is bound to a user account to allocate VMR conference resources to the user. VMR ensures that conference resources are not occupied and users can hold conferences at any time.

How to configure VMR
Log in to SMC2.0 as admin.
Choose System Setting > Conference > VMR.
Set VMR parameters.

After this function is enabled, the system can provision personal and project VMRs.
Default value: OFF
VMR Number Range
A VMR number consists of six digits. The system automatically generates a VMR number based on the preset range. During VMR provisioning, the system automatically generates a VMR access number. The conference ID consists of the unified access number and the automatically generated VMR access number.
Default value range: 9100000 to 9299999.
The value ranges from 9100000 to 9999999.Click Save.
Bind VMR.
When adding endpoints to the SMC2.0, select Bind VMR.
Call: Call VMR number.
Why I cannot find the VMR menu
The VMR function is under license control. To use the VMR function, you need to apply for a license. The following figure shows the license control items.
