Hello, everyone!
Cabinet (Shelf) Installation–The installation position of the MxU must comply with instructions.
The MxU does not have a fan and it adopts natural cooling. Therefore, the heat dissipation channel of the MxU must not be blocked. The side of the MxU that has heat dissipation vents must not be installed against the wall. In addition, when the MxU is installed vertically, make sure that the PON port is positioned as the lower part. This is to prevent the exhausting hot air from blowing at the optical fiber.

Cabinet (Shelf) Installation–Install filler panels in vacant slots.
If filler panels are not installed in vacant slots, the internal airflow of the shelf will be affected. This will result in uneven temperatures among different areas on the shelf and may cause the over-high temperature to certain areas. In addition, without filler panels, the metallic connectors of the bundled and unused subscriber cables may enter the shelf and come into contact with board components, causing a short circuit.

Cabinet (Shelf) Installation–Install the cable distribution terminal blocks in the lower part of the device.
When box-shaped devices and cable distribution terminal blocks are installed in a network cabinet, it is suggested that box-shaped devices be installed in the upper part, and cable distribution terminal blocks be installed in the lower part of the network cabinet. If installed above the box-shaped devices, the cable distribution terminal blocks will continuously absorb the hot air generated by the box-shaped devices and will be aged easily.

Cabinet (Shelf) Installation–Precautions for constructing an elevated platform
When constructing an elevated platform, adopt the elevated platform that has four posts as described in the documentation. Do not adopt the elevated platform that has two posts, because such a platform is insecure and easily falls in a typhoon or earthquake, causing device damage.

Cabinet (Shelf) Installation–Be sure to install rodent guards for the indoor cabinet
After routing the cables, be sure to install rodent guards to prevent metallic objects from falling into or small animals from entering the cabinet, thus protecting the device running.

Cabinet (Shelf) Installation–Install anti-theft components on the outdoor cabinet
After installing the cabinet, be sure to install anti-theft components. Use silica gel or concrete to seal the anti-theft components, thus improving the anti-theft capability of the cabinet.

Cable Routing–Use insulation materials to wrap the bare end of the power cable.
In the DC power cable routing, before routing the power cable into the DC PDU or the cabinet, be sure to use insulation materials to wrap the bare end of the power cable, thus preventing the bare end from causing short circuits.

Cable Routing–The bend radius of optical fibers should comply with standards
The optical fiber should be in the natural bending state. The bend radius of the optical fiber must be 20 times greater than the diameter of the optical fiber. Generally, the bend radius is equal to or greater than 40 mm. Use cable ties to fasten the currently unused subscriber cables so that they do not press against optical fibers.

That's all for today's analysis of equipment installation issues.
