Solution to fault 4
Format the LUNs mapped to the host. Then, manually scan for LUNs on the host.
Solution to fault 5
If the operating system is Windows Server 2003 SP1, three methods can be used to resolve the problem.
Method 1
Restart Windows Server 2003 SP1 three times.
Method 2
Upgrade Windows Server 2003 SP1 to Windows Server 2003 SP2.
Method 3
View driver information of physical disks. Uninstall each physical disk whose driver is not mpdev.sys by right-clicking it and choosing Uninstall from the shortcut menu.
Rescan for disks.
If the operating system is Windows Server 2003 SP2, refer to Method 3.
Solution to fault 6
If UltraPath is not installed, go to C:\windows\inf, open .ini files whose names start with oem, and search for the following keywords: MPIODisk, Detected\MPIO, and Root\HWDSM. If any one of the keywords exists, delete the oem.inf and oem.pnf files. If each oem.inf file does not contain any one of the keywords, you can directly install UltraPath.
If UltraPath is installed, right-click Computer on the desktop and choose Manage from the shortcut menu. In the window that is displayed, choose Device Manager in the navigation tree and expand Disk drives in the right pane. View driver information of physical disks. If the driver of a physical disk is not mpdev.sys, the driver is not replaced. Right-click such a disk and choose Uninstall from the shortcut menu. Then, rescan for disks.
In other cases, restart the host.
