Hello all,

In Cisco world, we have a command to find out the exact way a route is taking if there are multiple paths to reach that destination after the hash calculation is done:

show ip cef exact-route 192.168.10.5 131.0.22.0
192.168.10.5 -> 131.0.22.0 =>IP adj out of Vlan10, addr 192.168.10.10

Is there any equivalent command in Huawei?

Best Regards.

Hi.

It's not the command I need. The command you suggest just tells the path to certain destination.
If there are multiple paths, it would be great if we could know the exact path a packet would take from a SOURCE -> DESTINATION IP, like Cisco:

We know that for source IP 192.168.10.5 and destination IP 131.0.22.0, packet will go through VLAN10.
show ip cef exact-route 192.168.10.5 131.0.22.0
192.168.10.5 -> 131.0.22.0 =>IP adj out of Vlan10, addr 192.168.10.10

Hi Sophoni.

Any Huawei employee could help on this? If this feature is not available yet, could you consider adding it to the next VRP releases?

This information is very helpful if we have many paths to get from A to B and we need to know the exact path the switch calculated for a specific destination to troubleshoot some problem.

Like Cisco, IP CEF gives us the detailed information about how A gets to B:
show ip cef exact-route 192.168.10.5 131.0.22.0
192.168.10.5 -> 131.0.22.0 =>IP adj out of Vlan10, addr 192.168.10.10

Using the command above, one could know which path a packet from source IP 192.168.10.5 will take to destination IP 131.0.22.0.

Thanks.
