If the commando portswitch doesn't exist, how can we change the layer 3 ethernet port to assign an IP to use it as a router?

You can see below that the portswitch doesn't exist

[Huawei-GigabitEthernet0/0/1]por?
  port                                    port-auto-sleep
  port-isolate                            port-mirroring
  port-security                           portal

[Huawei-01-GigabitEthernet0/0/1]por

S5720SI doesn't support portswitch command.

Only interfaces on the S5720HI, S5720EI and S6720EI support switching between Layer 2 and Layer 3 modes.

I'm trying to do a vlan routing and I think I will not be able to do that cos I'm not having response of the switches and routers in front of my network. Is that possible to exchange traffic between vlans and different networks without this feature?
