In the multi-controller enclosure scenario, only one controller enclosure is installed in one cabinet. If two controller enclosures need to be installed in the same cabinet due to limited space in the equipment room, place them according to the following basic principles:
Do not remove any component from a controller enclosure when you move the enclosure.
Keep the position of the controller enclosure in the middle of the cabinet (22 U to 25 U), and install the other controller enclosure in the lower part of the cabinet (6 U to 9 U).
Consider the requirements of cabinet power supply and equipment room heat dissipation (by air conditioners) when determining the installation position.
The PDUs on the left and right of the cabinet back up each other. The total power consumption of the equipment cannot exceed the total bearing capacity of the PDUs on one side of the cabinet.
Each PDU group must be able to support the total maximum power consumption of all devices in that group. Connect the power cables of the storage devices to different PDU groups to prevent overload in any group.
Note:
Four PDUs are deployed in the cabinet, and each PDU has two groups. For a 4 U controller enclosure, connect the four power supplies to different PDUs. In addition, each PDU group is connected to only one controller enclosure power supply.
These are the basic principles, if you need to make such action, suggest you contact the technical support engineers to get more guidance.
