Collecting Information and Seeking Technical Support
- Collect switch logs.
- Log in to the switch connected to the IPC in local Console port mode or network (for example, STelnet) mode.
- Run the dis logbuffer command and press Space to print the complete log information.
- Run the dis trapbuffer command and press Space to print the complete log information.
- Run the dis diagnostic-information command.
- Run the dis interface command to collect switch port information.
- Run the dis mac-address command to collect the switch MAC table.
- If the IPC uses PoE, run the following commands in sequence to collect
PoE-related information:
- dis poe information
- dis poe-power
- dis poe power
- dis poe power-state
- dis poe power-state interface gig 0/0/4NOTE:In the preceding command, 0/0/4 indicates the number of the port on the switch that connects to the IPC. You can set it based on the site requirements.
- Export the session log of the login tool to a local disk.
For example, if you use the SecureCRT tool to log in to the switch, you can choose to export and save the session log.
- Collect IPC fault information.
Log in to the IPC web page, choose , and download the IPC fault information to a local disk, as shown in Figure 1.
