Clearing SmartLogger Alarm 1106-1 AC SPD

Problem description:

The SmartLogger frequently generates 1106-1 AC SPD fault alarms.

Fault location analysis:

1. Check that the AC SPD is normal.

2. Measure the DI8 and GND2 ports using the multimeter to the buzzing level. If the ports do not sound, the AC SPD or cable is faulty.

At this site, intermittent disconnection occurs. Check whether the cable is loose.

3. Remove the DI8 and GND2 cables, and use the multimeter to measure the buzzing level. If the multimeter does not respond, the cables are faulty.

4. Check all cables to the AC SPD.

 

Cause:

The AC surge protector is not connected to all ports. After the fault is rectified, the alarm is cleared.
