Class based QoS-Profile for PPPoE users

HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hello folks,

Is it possible to have class based qos-profiles for PPPoE users on NE20 router?

The idea is do a different rate-limit to users based on class, ACL (or even DSCP marks). For example:

From Network Y going to PPPoE interface A : CAR 100 Mbps

From Any going to PPPoE Interface A: CAR 50 Mbps

qos-profile

Any ideas?

Regards,

Rafael

Hi,
I checked with the R&D guys, it seems that the value-added service DAA could match your request.
Kindly refer to https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100075471&id=dc_ne_daa_cfg_0000&lang=en

Hello @wissal , the PPPoE connection is configured and working. I'm asking about a specific qos-profile to control the bandwidth rate based on classes.

I can't found about this in the PPPoE Access Configuration section.

You could use this command
Qos-profile 10M
Car cir 10240 outbound
Car cir 5120 inbound
This will act like 10Mbps of download and 5Mbps of upload.

I'm using this already. But I need to expand this.

For example:

Qos-profile 10M
class from-CDN
car cir 1024000 outbound
car cir 512000 inbound
class default
car cir 10240 outbound
car cir 5120 inbound
Hi @rganacim,
How about trying the traffic-policy?

Hello @chenhui ,

But how can I apply a traffic policy to a PPPoE User? And, are there limits to use traffic-policy for each subscriber (for exemple, to 20k users).

Hi Forum, I've bought myself a B310s-22 because I noticed 'VPN' in the submenu of Settings.

Unfortunately, now I've installed it-it's not there, Can anyone help?

Hi @rganacim,

As my understanding, you are trying to limit the bandwidth from nework 200.200.200.0/24 to PPPoE users to 100Mbps, and from any other network to PPPoE users to 50Mbps.

If this is your intention, kindly try the traffic policy below:

#
acl number 2001
 rule 5 permit source 200.200.200.0 0.0.0.255
#
traffic classifier t1 operator or
 if-match acl 2001
traffic classifier t2 operator or
#
traffic behavior t1
car cir 100000 cbs 18800000 pbs 31300000 green pass yellow pass red discard
traffic behavior t2
car cir 50000 cbs 9400000 pbs 15650000 green pass yellow pass red discard
#
traffic policy t
 classifier t1 behavior t1
 classifier t2 behavior t2
#

Then apply the traffic policy on the interface with outward direction.

Hello @chenhui,

I understand the traffic policy, and how it meets our goal if we was using anything else thats not PPPoE.
But I don't know how can I apply the traffic policy to a PPPoE user.

Inside the the Virtual-Template, there is no command "traffic-policy".
In the RADIUS dictionary, we only have the "Huawei-Policy-Name" attribute, but without direction.

Do you know if is it possible to apply a traffic policy to PPPoE Users to meet our goal?
