Hard disk usage sampling interval (60-3600 seconds)

DescrIPtion:

Interval of sampling the disk usage.

Impact on System:

A high sampling frequency occupies many server resources, which affects the server performance.

Value:

Value range: 60-3600

Default value: 60

Configuration Guidelines:

The default value 60 is recommended. A short sampling period reflects the disk usage in time. Sampling the hard disk usage every 60 seconds has only a slight impact on the U2000 server performance.

Default threshold for generating and clearing alarm The Disk Usage Is Too High. The parameters are described as follows:

Alarm Generation Threshold: If the disk usage reaches the threshold for generating the Alarm Generation Threshold alarm of a severity, the U2000 generates the The Disk Usage Is Too High alarm of this severity.

Alarm Clearance Threshold: If the disk usage is smaller than the threshold for generating the Alarm Clearance Threshold alarm, the U2000clears the generated The Disk Usage Is Too High alarm and sets it as Cleared.

Show Pop-up Message: You can enable the function of displaying pop-up messages in Custom.

Setting method:

Click + to expand Default. Set the default thresholds for generating and clearing high hard disk usage alarms of different severities.

Warning: 60

Minor: 70

Major: 80

Critical: 90

Configuration Guidelines:

The default value is recommended.

Alarm Generation Threshold: Insufficient diskspace affects service running of the U2000; therefore, the Alarm Generation Thresholdvalues for the four alarm severities must reflect their actual impacts on the U2000 services.

Alarm Clearance Threshold: It is recommended that Alarm Clearance Threshold be smaller than Alarm Generation Threshold by 5% or more, preventing alarms from being frequently cleared and then reported.

Custom

DescrIPtion:

User-defined Alarm Generation Threshold and Alarm Clearance Threshold values of the The DiskUsage Is Too High alarm for each partition of the disk.

Modes for setting thresholds:

Default value: The values in Default are used as the Alarm Generation Thresholdand Alarm Clearance Threshold values of each disk partition.

Customize value: Users need to specify the values of Alarm Generation Threshold and Alarm Clearance Threshold for each diskpartition.

If Disable alarm generation is selected, the U2000 does not report The Disk Usage Is Too High alarm for the specified diskpartition.

Alarm Generation Threshold: Users need to specify Alarm Generation Threshold for generating The Disk Usage Is Too High alarms of all severities.

Alarm Clearance Threshold: Users need to specify Alarm Clearance Threshold for clearing The Disk Usage Is Too High alarms of all severities.

Show Pop-up Message: If Show Pop-up Message is set to Yes for a disk partition, a pop-up message is displayed on the U2000client when the usage of the disk partition reaches Alarm Generation Threshold. When the usage is smaller than Alarm Clearance Threshold, the pop-up message disappears.

Setting method:

1.    Click + before Custom to expand the nodes.

2.    Click + before the server name to expand nodes.

3.    Click + before a disk partition name to expand nodes:

·Selecting modes for setting thresholds: In the Alarm Generation Threshold drop-down list, select Customize Value, Custom value, or Disable alarm generation.

·Show Pop-up Message: In the Show Pop-up Message drop-down list on the right of the disk partition name, select Yesor No.
