changing the USER NAME and PASSWORD in ONT modem

The administrator account and password of the HG8245H are used by engineers for onsite maintenance. Generally, the administrator account and password of the ONT cannot be changed randomly.

If you need to change the password of the device administrator account, you can change the password only through the NMS and deliver the VAS template to the device.

Please see the steps:

Step 1. Download the old VAS profile and find the UserInterface nodes:

Step 2. Change the Password and the UserName to what you want. For example telecomadmin/telecomadminpasswd.

Step 3. Upload the new VAS profile and bind again.
