Changing the ONT Password on the Huawei OLT

Hello friend.

You could not change the ONT password by running the ont modify command on OLT. 

This command is used to modify the password of the authentication information on the OLT, not the password of the ONT.

In password or SN+password authentication mode, the ONT can pass the authentication and go online only when the password on the ONT is the same as the password configured on the OLT.

To change the password of the ONT, you need to log in to the ONT for configuration. Alternatively, if you manage the ONT through the NMS, you can also change the password on the NMS.
