Situation:
Change the system arbitration IP address before the server providing the arbitration IP address is to be changed to another state, for example, before the server is powered off, to ensure proper communication between Virtualization Resource Management (VRM) nodes and the arbitration IP address. When VRMs work in active/standby mode, the arbitration IP address is used to determine the status of the active and standby VRMs.
Conditions:
- You have logged in to the FusionCompute.
- The arbitration IP address and the VRM management IP address are reachable.
Procedures:
- On the FusionCompute, choose .
The Services & Mgt. Nodes page is displayed.
- Locate the row that contains the VRM service, select Operation, and click Configure deployment mode.
- The Configure deployment mode page is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

- Enter the arbitrated IP address in the Arbitration IP address area.
- Arbitration IP address 01: Set it to the gateway address of the management plane.
- Arbitration IP address 02 and Arbitration IP address 03: Set them to IP addresses of servers that can communicate with the management plane, such as the AD server or the DNS server. These parameters are optional.
- Click Modify.
A dialog box is displayed.
- Click OK.
