Hello, everyone!
Today, I'd like to share you about how to change the password of NCE OS user.
Background
For security purposes of the OS users, change the initial passwords for related users.and we need to change the password for the OS user periodically (every three months). If a password expiration policy is configured for the OS password, set a new password based on the specified password rules before the password expires.
1. Changing the password for the root user:login the server and then run the passwd root command to change the password for the root user.

2. Changing the password for a non-root user:On the management plane, choose Maintenance > Password Modification > Change OS User Password from the main menu.
Note:
If the GaussDB 100 database has multiple nodes, the password for the OS user dbuser on all the nodes must be the same. Otherwise, patches of the GaussDB 100 database cannot be installed;
After the password for an OS user is changed, some historical backup data becomes invalid and needs to be backed up again.
