Hello,

I have a NE20E-2SF router and its CFCARD is almost full, making it impossible to transfer a newer firmware version into flash memory. I already deleted logfiles and emptied the recycle bin.

Do you have any other suggestion?

CFCARD

Best Regards

Hi,
The statistics might not be renewed, please check all the directories and count the total size of all files.

The Folder KPISTAT/ has about 100 files of 1MB each. Do you know if it is ok to delete those files?

It seems to be the statistics of the KPIs (key performance indicators). The statistics deleting doesn't affect the system, you can backup to your local PC before deleting them so that you can review them for potential system historical status checking.

Hi chenhui, Unfortunattely deleting all KPISTATS files wasn't enough to free space to accomodate the new firmware file.
Is it possible to delete the currentt .cc file and transfer a new one and specify this new file as the next startup software?

Yes, but that operation needs to be implemented in the BootROM menu, and it's not recommended to do that. It's better to find out which part occupies so much space.

Hello Chenhui,
What about the folder: cfcard:/business-trace/auto-trace/. It has several files that perhaps will free enough space.
Do you know what is the purpose of that folder?

This is the tracing information, I think, that would barely free space though you delete it.
BTW, please backup the files to your local PC before deleting them.

Hi,
Please check the file directories, usually, the log files and diagnostic files take up much flash space.

Hi mrod,
According to the screenshot, the files in the flash memory do not occupy much memory. Run the reset recycle-bin command to clear the log files in the recycle bin.

Hi Chenchui,
I already look into those directories. I don't believe they are the cause of this lack of space:

<HUAWEI-PPPoE>dir /all
Directory of cfcard:/logfile/

Idx Attr Size(Byte) Date Time FileName
0 -rw- 5,498,278 Jul 28 2021 09:24:06 diag.log
1 -rw- 4,161,741 Jul 28 2021 09:23:13 log.log
2 drwx - Nov 22 2018 07:29:25 lost+found
3 drwx - Jul 28 2021 08:58:21 pads
4 -rw- 479 Jul 28 2021 03:03:00 temperature_diag.log

1,960,832 KB total (250,571 KB free)
<HUAWEI-PPPoE>

<HUAWEI-PPPoE>dir /all
Directory of cfcard:/diaginfo/

Idx Attr Size(Byte) Date Time FileName
0 -rw- 340 Jun 28 2019 01:14:56 pdv_info

1,960,832 KB total (177,265 KB free)

It called my attention that eache directorie shows a diferrente amount of free space (250,571 in logfile and 177,265 in diaginfo)
