In this article, I will talk about the problem that we often encountered due to the bad installation status of the past period, someone might go through this situation
the problem that we have a cell flapping every period of time .
How i handle this issue?
1- I went to the current alarm of the node but I found the all alarm clear and then I go to the alarm log history by clicking on the Query Alarm Event Log.
2- And I found frequent Alarms sequentially RF Unit Startup then Local Cell Unusable as the following snapshot, And here I guessed there was something to do with
the power supply to the RF unit.
3- Then I determined the location of the Cell that is the subject of the issue by cabinet number and subrack, then we checked the power supply from the cabinet
And we found every thinks fine.
4- And when we checked the top of the tower for the RF, we found that the power cable was not well fixed as following snapshot, which led to the burning of part of the socket
due to the high temperature, When the RF is working and consuming the maximum Ampere and as a result it leads to down cell and up again.
The following screenshot of another site has the same problem, but the problem here is from the closet. When we unscrew the power socket, we found that
The plastic part has not been sufficiently removed from the wire.
