Hey there,

I was wondering, does the CCUD control board on the MA5616 support using the ETH/GE0 port at the front as upstream port for service traffic? If so then I assume that management traffic and service VLANs will be shared on that same port?

Hello, friend!

I'm sorry I didn't see your question in time because of the wrong type of post you posted.

Confirmed that it is not supported.

The ETH/GE0 port on the CCUD board of the MA5616 cannot be used as an upstream port, but it can be used as a cascading port or a management port.

Thanks!

Oh I didn't know where to post it.

Thanks for the confirmation, that's what I thought as well.

I am trying to buy a second hand MA5616 and I was told that the CCUD could also do RJ45 uplinking and that they have customers using it like that.

The CCUD control board of the MA5616 does not support the ETH/GE0 port as the upstream port for service traffic.
The RJ45 port is used to connect the local maintenance and environment monitoring.
