Cannot Port Forward on HG8145V5 When Static IP is Set

HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hello,

recently I've bought a HG8145V5 modem and I've  associated the IP 192.168.100.9 (DHCP Configuration) to an internal server running a job on port 9080.

I set the port fowarding pointing to that IP address and port in order to access the job outside the home network. The rule works for five or six minutes and stopped working. I couldn't figured out what was the cause, but when I deleted the static DHCP rule for the mentioned IP, the forward rule started working. The question is, how can I port forwarding to an IP:PORT when the IP is statically is set? I believe some day the DHCP server might change the IP and I can access the service.

Thans in advance,

Eduardo Lopes.

Hi friend!

HG8145V5 is a Carrier product.

You are advised to contact your local ISP to check whether your product supports port forwarding. If yes, refer to the following configuration procedure:

1. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Forward Rules > Port Mapping Configuration. In the pane on the right, click New. In the dialog box that is displayed, set the parameters related to port mapping, as shown in the following figure:

2. Click Apply.

For more information about port forwarding, click How to configure Huawei ONT port mapping.

Thanks!
