Hello.

I upgraded my wifi to Fiber optic cable. I got a Huawei router from isp - HG8145V5.

The LAN1 and LAN2 are used for internal Internet netword, the LAN3 and LAN4 are used for IPTV.

Sometimes I want to disable LAN3 and LAN4 becouse of children, they con't must to stay too many time at the TV! But I don't tell them that this is me... I say them that this is a technical problem. I was making this with my previous router (ADSL), but now I can't with new router/modem. The children are very happy, but not me.

I tried to add a new Device Access Control, like on screenshot, but it doesn't work! :(

I'd like to continue to disable sometimes the LAN3 and LAN4 to give my children more time for the school..., can you help ?

Thanks!

This is how I tried to add a Device Access Control

Hi, friend!

Device Access Control is configured based on IP addresses, but this content is not configured in the configuration provided by you.

ONT

You can try to set the original configuration parameters, add 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255 to Source IP Address to disable LAN3 and LAN4.

Thanks!

Hello, friend!

Based on your problem description, you are advised to log in to the web client to configure parental control.

Click Advanced Configuration > Security Configuration tab, and choose Parental Control in the navigation tree on the left. In the pane on the right, configure different constraints for the network surfing time and website access on working days and holidays. In this way, their children are allowed to access networks in specified time segments and free from age inappropriate contents.

Hello, friend!

I have verified the Device Access Control configuration, which can only filter specified protocol packets.

If you want to disable the IPTV service on LAN3 and LAN4, you only need to change LAN3 and LAN4 to Layer 2 ports.

1. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Advanced Configuration > LAN Configuration > Layer 2/3 Port Configuration. In the pane on the right, determine whether the LAN port works in layer 3 mode.

Layer 2/3 Port Configuration

If the check box corresponding to the LAN port is selected, it indicates that the LAN port works in layer 3 mode, that is, the gateway mode; if the check box corresponding to the LAN port is deselected, it indicates that the LAN port works in layer 2 mode, that is, the bridge mode.

By default, the check boxes corresponding to all LAN ports are deselected, that is, all LAN ports work in layer 2 mode.

2. Click Apply.

Thanks!

olive.zhao, Chenxintao thanks for your answers.

Chenxintao, no need to disable networking or website access, just need to disable LAN3 and LAN4 where the IPTV is installed.

Usually, you can get the Mediabox MAC address from its nameplate.
And, the Mediabox only get IPs in the same DHCP pool, so you can fill the blank with the same network that the PC is using. And the LAN3 and LAN4 doesn't connect the PC, so it's OK, and it wouldn't block your PC.
