In this post we are going to introduce how to solve the issue unable to find the camera's and unable to add them on the VCN.
Problem Description
Failedto add cameras on IVS Client.
Problem Analysis
1. Product model andversion: VCN520 V100R003C10
2. The issue phenomenon wasafter inputting the 14 camera IPs, only 1 camera IP could be searched out whenadding cameras following a wizard.
3. Confirmed these cameras are Huawei IPC and connected with VCN through HWSDK.
4. Logged into VCN server and ping the camera ips: the cameras could be reached and no packet loss.
5. Tested that the other cameras could be added online through adding cameras on the Devices Tab Page oneby one.
Root Cause
Suspected that the network of from the cameras to the VCN passed through layers of VLAN,therefore the cameras could not be searched out when adding cameras following awizard.
Solution Description
Advised to add camerason the Devices tab page one by one or in batches by importing a template filecontaining the camera information name:
1. Select Devices> Add Device > Add Devicesin Batches.
2. In the dialog box that is displayed, click Export to export the Batch Add Template.xlsm file.
3. Fill in the camera name, drive, user name, password, VCN IP, camera IP, model and other information.
4. Import the batch addtemplate.
5. Check whether thecameras go online.
