Hello guys!
Good day to you!
In this post, I will explain to you a work around when you try to scan to add batch of camera's to add to the IVS client and you cannot find all the camera's
Problem Description
Cannot add the SDK / ONVIF in a batch
Product model and version: VCN520 V100R003C10
Problem Analysis
The issue phenomenon was after inputting the 14 camera IPs, only 6 camera IP could be searched out when adding cameras following a wizard.
The remaining need to added one by one or by the template as the scan cannot find the other 8 cameras and this is due to the network
Confirmed these cameras are Huawei IPC and connected with VCN through HWSDK.
Logged into VCN server and ping the camera ips: the cameras could be reached and no packet loss.
Tested that the other cameras could be added online through adding cameras on the Devices Tab Page one by one.
Therefore we confirmed to add the camera in a batch using a template
Root Cause
Suspected that the network of from the cameras to the VCN passed through layers of VLAN,therefore the cameras could not be searched out when adding cameras following awizard.
Solution Description
Select Devices> Add Device > Add Devicesin Batches. then download the .xlsm file.

Enter all the mandatory data for all the camera’s.

On the right on the excel sheet there is a button to convert the file to .CSV as show below.

After converting the file it will be located in the same place where .xlsm file is there.
Finally, Upload the file and check if all the cameras passes the verification and then ADD, all cameras will be added.

Check whether the cameras go online.
