can the switch send or receive packets when the interface is blocked by stp?

If I implemented xSTP on the S switch, and one of the port is blocked, then can the switch send or receive packets on this blocked interface? if yes, then which type of packets can be received or sent?

the blocked ports can receive packets and will not send packets out, the switch will judge the interface under blocking status or frowarding status depending on the BPDU packets it received on the interface.
