Can the Huawei TN52ND2 card substitute for TN11ND2

Hello!

I need to replace the boards on the OptiX OSN 8800.

Can the Huawei TN52ND2 card substitute for TN11ND2?

Please help me!

Dear friend!

The TN11ND2 board can be replaced by the TN52ND2 board. 

The TN12ND2/TN52ND2 can be created as ND2 on the NMS. The former can substitute for the latter, without any software upgrade. After substitution, the TN12ND2/TN52ND2 functions as the TN11ND2.

NOTE:

When both the receive board and transmit board adopt the FEC code pattern, the substitution applies; when both the receive board and transmit board adopt the AFEC code pattern, the substitution does not apply.

The TN52ND2T04 board can substitute for the TN11ND2T02.

I also think possible as both have common cross -connect Granulariy and FEC enconding

Board Cross-Connet Granularity FEC Encoding
TN11ND2 ODU1 and ODU2 FEC/AFEC
TN12ND2 ODU1 and ODU2 FEC/AFEC-2
TN52ND2T01/2/4 ODU0, ODU1 and ODU2 FEC/AFEC-2

Besides, Ithere is a substitution relationship between two boards and one of the boards is used to replace the other board, the device initial version supported by the replaced board takes effect.

board Initial Version
TN11ND2 6800: V100R004
TN12ND2 6800:V100R004C03 8800:V100R007C00
TN52ND2 6800 & 8800: V100R002C00

just as Mr Liqiang mentioned , the board substitute it , and any time you want to know if the board has variants, open to HedEX and go to substitution relationship , there you can find the boards and their Variants .
