Can't Use The “Record Lock” functionality under Video Tab on IVS9000.

Hello, customer reported that the Server Recording plan cannot be disabled for operators, who need to use the “Record Lock” functionality under Video Tab.

Hi, heshamk.

The operator cannot disable the recording plan. The possible cause is that the user does not have the permission. You are advised to perform this operation as admin user.

Recording Lock

Definition

The IVS platform provides the recording lock function to reserve video or extend the recording storage period based on user requirements.

Customer Benefits

Users can lock recordings to retain recordings of important areas, ensuring the reliability of important data.

Application Scenario

If a recording of a surveillance area is especially important, the user can lock the recording to prevent it from being overwritten, or prolong the recording storage period.

Functions

Table 1 lists the functions of this feature.

Description

Recording lock

Allows users to:

  • Delete, forward, or view recordings based on user permissions after recordings are locked.

  • Set the recording lock duration. After the lock duration elapses, recordings are processed based on the storage policy.

@rongjie , thank you for your feedback its confirmed that by enabling the Video Management, Server recording Plan will also be enabled and both options can’t be separated.
