Find Your Huawei HG8245 Router IP Address

We need to know the Internal IP Address of your Huawei HG8245 router before we can login to it.

If you did not see your router's ip address in the list above. There are 2 additional ways that you can determine your router's IP address:

Now that you have your router's Internal IP Address we are ready to login to it.

Login to the Huawei HG8245 Router

The Huawei HG8245 has a web interface for configuration. You can use any web browser you like to login to the Huawei HG8245. In this example we'll use Internet Explorer.

Enter Huawei HG8245 Internal IP Address

Put the Internal IP Address of your Huawei HG8245 in the Address Bar of your web browser. It looks like this:

Then press the Enter key on your keyboard. You should see a dialog box pop up asking your for your Huawei HG8245 username and password.

You need to know the username and password to login to your Huawei HG8245. All of the default usernames and passwords for the Huawei HG8245 are listed below.

Enter your username and password in the dialog box that pops up. It looks like this:

Solutions To Huawei HG8245 Login Problems

If you can not get logged in to your router, here a few possible solutions you can try.

Huawei HG8245 Password Doesn't Work

You should try other Huawei passwords. We have a large list of Huawei Passwords that you can try located here. Perhaps your router's default password is different than what we have listed here.

Forgot Password to Huawei HG8245 Router

If your Internet Service Provider supplied you with your router then you might want to try giving them a call and see if they either know what your router's username and password are, or maybe they can reset it for you.

How to Reset the Huawei HG8245 Router To Default Settings

Administrator (installation and maintenance personnel):

For user name and password, please contact the device supplier to obtain it.

Common user (terminal user):

User name: root

Password: admin

IP address: 192.168.100.1

2.  If you purchase an ONT customized for a formal carrier version

Certain carriers may customize accounts and passwords, which are different from the default accounts and passwords listed in the preceding. For details, contact the corresponding carrier.

3.  It's also possible that someone else changed the password. 

Restore the device to its factory settings. (This operation will cause loss of the original configuration data. Exercise caution when performing this operation.)
