Hello, friend.
Steps to create an SDH/PDH service:
1. In the NE Explorer, select an NE from the Object Tree and choose Configuration > SDH/PDH Service Management from the Function Tree.
2. Click Options to change the VC12 timeslot numbering policy used by the cross-connection.
3. Click New.
Interconnection failures occur when network elements are unable to transmit SDH services with other SDH devices.
Cause of failure:
The VC-12 numbering method of OptiX equipment is different from the equipment numbering method of some vendors. OptiX equipment uses the time slot numbering method. The numbering formula is: VC-12 numbering = TUG-3 numbering + (TUG-2 numbering-1) x 3 + (TU-12 numbering-1) x 21. This method is also known as the sequential numbering method. Certain equipment uses the line numbering method. The numbering formula is: VC-12 number = (TUG-3 number-1) x 21 + (TUG-2 number-1) x 3 + TU-12 number. This method is also known as the interleaved method.
The overhead bytes at both ends are not identical.
SDH interface indicators do not match the requirements.
In the case of interconnection with ATM or Ethernet equipment, a common reason for interconnection failure is that the service is not set up as a VC-4 pass-through service and therefore the overhead is handled in terminating mode rather than pass-through mode.

Interconnection failures occur when network elements are unable to transmit PDH services with other PDH devices.
Cause of failure:
There is an impedance mismatch between the interfaces.
The equipment is not properly earthed.
Deterioration of cable performance.
PDH interface indicators do not meet the requirements.

The reference to PDH services refers to Native E1 services.
In the case of interconnection to PDH equipment, improper grounding is the most common cause of interconnection failure.
