Can't Change DNS on Huawei HG8245H

Hi, there.


I'd like to force any device connecting to my router to use the Cloudflare DNS. However, in the DHCP settings for my device the fields for Primary DNS Server and Secondary DNS Server are disabled (greyed out) and I'm unable to enter anything in the DHCP settings for my device. The attached screenshot shows my problem and the details of my router. Does anyone know what I need to do to enable these fields?

Answer:


1. In most cases, the default user name for logging in to the web page is root, the password is admin and the IP address is 192.168.100.1. However, for security reasons, the default password or IP address may have been changed before delivery. The nameplate prevails. Enter the IP address in the address bar of your browser.


2. Enter the default login account and password on the nameplate on the rear of the ONT and click Login.


3. Click the Network Application tab and then choose DNS Configuration from the navigation tree. In the right pane, configure DNS template, DNS parameters and you can also configure static DNS domain name resolution.




4. Click Apply.


ParameterDescription
Dns templateIndicates a DNS template. It can be set to DEFAULT, PRIORITY, or INTERNET.
Domain NameIndicates the DNS domain name.
WAN NameIndicates the WAN port of the static DNS configuration.
DNS ServerIndicates the DNS server address.
IP AddressIndicates the IP address resolved by using the static domain name.

So basically the domain name can be anything and in the ip address section i should enter the dns address 1.1.1.1 right?

Steps
Step 1.

Log in to the Huawei Router Configuration page by entering the following IP into your URL bar: 192.168.100.1.  The default login is:

Login: telecomadmin

Password: admintelecom



Step 2.

Navigate to LAN > DHCP Server Configuration



Step 3.

Check 'Enable primary DHCP server'

Check Enable DHCP L2Relay (May be labeled as just DHCP Relay)

enter your dns and save.

I have exactly the same problem..

I tried EVERYTHING but nothing works.
192.168.100.1 doesn't connect anywhere
telecomadmin/admintelecom etc etc returns an incorrect username/password

I contacted with my ISP and they can't even change it

PLEASE help me find a solution ASAP Can't Change DNS on Huawei HG8245H-4694971-1
