Can OLT MA5680T be Cascaded

Hello everyone!


An existing OLT MA5680T has been fully equipped and the ports have been used up. Now I want to add a new sub race MA5680T in the integrated cabinet.

Can this newly added OLT be cascaded with the existing OLT and share the uplink route?

Do you have to take a new route and connect to the NMS?


Which one knows what to do, thanks.

Dear firend,


MA5680T/MA5683T/MA5608T can use the main control board to achieve local cascading, or use the GIU upstream board to achieve local cascading. Each GIU uplink board can provide 4 GE optical ports, using uplink or cascade, respectively, according to the demand to choose the number of cascade ports. If you need active and standby, you need to configure two GIU upstream boards.
