Hello, everyone.

I am using the VIS6000/VIS6000T for deployment configuration.

I want to know that are multiple groups of mirrored volumes configured in the VIS using the same DCO disk and DCO mirroring disk?

Can different DCO disks be configured for different mirrored volumes?

If multiple groups of mirrored volumes share a DCO, what are the capacity requirements for the DCO?

Thanks for the answer.

Hello, Werido!

Please refer to the following table lists the DCO disk size requirements for mirrored volumes.

DCO
Source DCO Disk

The source volume and the source volume must be from the same RAID group.

The format is "Do not reserve data".

Mirror DCO Disk

The source DCO disk and the mirror volume must be in the same RAID group, but cannot be in the same array.

The format is "Do not reserve data".

Specifications
  • If the total capacity of mirrored data volumes in the disk group is less than 6 TB, the minimum DCO capacity is 1 GB.

  • If the total capacity of mirrored data volumes in the disk group is greater than 6 TB and less than 64 TB, the minimum DCO capacity is 10 GB.

  • If the total capacity of mirrored data volumes in the disk group is greater than 64 TB and less than 16 x 64 TB, the minimum DCO capacity is 160 GB.

  • If the total capacity of mirrored data volumes in the disk group is greater than 64 TB and less than 64 TB, the minimum DCO capacity is 640 GB.

Mapping

It is recommended that every six mirror groups in a disk group use one pair of DCO disks.
