Can I set OPTION 3 in a DHCP Interface Address Pool?

Hello.


I want to know if I can configure OPTION 3 for the IP address from an interface address pool. I tried but this message was displayed:


[interface-Vlan30]dhcp server option 3 ip-address 172.18.4.50
Error: This option cannot be configured using this command.


I've already selected the interface address pool.

 

What's going on?

Hi @lucasSaave!

To assign the gateway IP for an interface based address pool, please use command dhcp server gateway-list, but this command is not supported in eNSP.

Every interface has its unique DHCP Server or is there only one DHCP Server?

well, in my opinion, DHCP server on the router is similar as the thread in the operation system. You can consider a DHCP server enabled as a thread.

As we talked, the corresponding command is not supported in eNSP, if you want to modify the gateway ip address, you can enable a ip address pool, while it's allowed to modify the gateway address in ip pool view.
