If the Tape Capacity On Demand option of a VTL is enabled, you cannot expand the capacity of VTL tapes.

If the Tape Capacity On Demand option of a VTL is disabled, set properties of the VTL again and enable the Tape Capacity On Demand option. Original tapes inherit original properties of the VTL. These tapes cannot be expanded on demand. Newly created tapes inherit changed properties of the VTL. These tapes can be expanded on demand. After these tapes are expanded, the maximum capacity is the same as the default maximum capacity defined in VTL properties.
