I'd like to use NQA tracking on a static route but rather than tracking one object I'd like to track 3. Is this possible and if so how?

for example I'd like to track 3 objects in the internet to verify the primary path to the internet use tracking on the default route and if all three objects fail then I can be sure the path is down and revert to an alternative path.

Any ideas gratiously received.

thanks,

Alan

OK if you can't track more than one destimation in a single NQA is there any other way to acheive what I'm trying to do?

IE: track more than one object in the upstream path and then remove the default route if multiple objects fail. one is really no use as things can be taken down for various reasons whereas if three objects fail the chances are that the path is indeed down.

thanks,

I'm not agree with that.
Since one next-hop address for each static route, if the track is down, the corresponding static route is not accessible or reliable, so, it should be removed from the routing-table.
If three different addresses are tracked, how to determine the choosen three addresses.

Hi, I don't think you undestand my query.

if I track one object via NQA and it fails then my default route is removed but the object I am tracking might be out of service for a valid reason and ther eis nothing wrong with the path to the internet. If I track multiple objects and they all fail then I can be sure the path is faulty and its not one object that has simply been removed from service.

In Cisco I can do this with a 'boolean track' is it possible to do something similar with Huawei?

regards,
Alan

No, I understand your requirement clearly.
As far as I know, there isn't a similar function in NQA, but I'll check with experts later.

hello @alho
I confirmed with the R&D guys. The NQA doesn't support track multi destination simultaneously. But NQA group could bind multi NQA instances to track multi destination simultaneously, which works similar to the Cisco IPSLA.
Unfortunately, the static route doesn't support bind the NQA group.
If you are convenient, you are kindly advised to describe your requirement detailed, so that we could help to initiate a SR to push the R&D guys to optimize the VRP platform.
