Hi,
Recently I had a question raised with regards to the license inquiry, basically about the Mini-MCU license for the TE terminals.
Question
Can a MiniMCU License be used for 2 different types of equipment (e.g. a license for TE30 to be mounted on a TE40) for multipoint call purposes?
Answer
The same license cannot be used simultaneously by 2 different endpoints. Each terminal needs to have its own license which is generated by binding it with the terminal’s ESN.
If the customer no longer needs to use the mini-MCU feature on a TE30 for example and would want it to be moved to TE40, it can be done.
However, in this case, we need to roll-back the activation of the license from TE30 and afterwards to link it to the TE40’s ESN.
