Hi, Community!

I see that the black box is used in the HUAWEI CLOUD. Does the black box record logs and user behavior on a VM?

Any solutions will be appreciated!

Hello, dear jingoba!
Have a nice day!
FusionSphere 6.5 supports the black box, but it cannot record logs and user operations on VMs.
Generally, logs, user behavior, and operation records on a VM are managed and recorded by the upper-layer cloud.
A black box is mainly used to collect and store system running information before the physical machine where FusionCompute is installed exits abnormally. The system running information includes the following information about the OS at the bottom layer:
 Kernel logs
 Output information displayed on the screen before the physical machine abnormally exits
 Diagnosis information generated by the diagnosis tool (kernel module)

Hello,
Black boxes cannot be used to record VM logs and user behavior.
VM logs, user behavior, and operation records are generally recorded and managed by the upper-layer cloud management system.
A black box collects and stores running information about a physical machine (Domain0 and Xen) equipped with FusionCompute when the physical machine exits abnormally. The following OS-level information is involved:
(1) Kernel logs
(2) Screen output information from before the system exited
(3) Diagnosis information from the diagnosis tool (kernel module)

Thanks
