There are three main stages of camera installation:
Are there mandatory national standards? If yes, design the camera installation position according to the mandatory national standards.
Understand the customer's requirements. What areas do the customer want to focus on? What is the effect?
This is also the most important step to plan the camera based on the above two points. I'll sum it up in four words: encircle, connection, supplement, combine.
Let's focus on these four words.
Encircle
Encircle means encircling the target area to form a closed surveillance area. In this way, the entire entrance and exit can be controlled to ensure that the entrance and exit are 100% covered so that people, vehicles, and objects in and out can be monitored.
Connection
Determine the entrances and exits of all key areas and surrounding areas, install cameras based on areas, and connect the cameras to form an interconnected enclosure to ensure that the target can be captured multiple times.
Supplement
Install additional cameras in the enclosure. Cameras are installed in the key positions of the closed interior for higher reliability.
Combine
Combined with other systems, such as access control and alarm systems. This enables real-time monitoring and timely handling of exceptions.
Precautions for Installing a Camera
Cable layout
Select installation positions to minimize surveillance dead spots. After selecting positions, install the camera as a computer using standard cabling methods.
Is a switch used and what kind of switch
Determine whether to use switches and how to use switches based on the number of network cameras and code streams.
Network cable
Be sure to buy the national standard network cable, if possible, you can carry a multimeter to measure the resistance. The resistance of the network cable does not exceed 30 ohms, the quality is better.
Installation tool
Crimping pliers, wire testers, wire cutters, laptop.....
Cabling more than 100 meters
If the distance exceeds 100 m, optical fibers are recommended. If you have to use a network cable, you can add a switch, which can extend 100 meters. (up to 200 m)
