Calculate available memory of a host in ServiceOM

Greetings to the community.


I just found a valid formula for calculate the displayed vCPU information on ServiceOM from a host, but there is something similar to calculate the memory displayed on ServiceOM as well?


The physicall server has 524,288 GB on memory DIMMs in the iBMC portal, then on FusionSphere CPS it is reduced to 523,891 GB and finally on ServiceOM the same host has 473,08 GB.

Hello Dear!

The memory capacity on Service OM is smaller than that on IBMC due to the following reasons:
1. The host OS occupies some memory resources.
2. The management plane of the FusionSphere virtualization suite occupies some memory resources.
3. FusionStorage nodes consume some resources for OSD and VBS.
The memory of the computing plane is queried on Service OM.

If you want to query the memory resources occupied by each part based on service requirements,

You need to contact Huawei engineers for remote queries.
