C/S Client Upgrade Failure
Symptom
If you log in to the C/S client after the IVS platform is upgraded, the C/S client will fail to be upgraded in either of the following scenarios:
- The "Downloading updates..." message is displayed all the time, as shown in Figure 1.
- The message "File download error due to MD5 verification failure" is displayed, as shown in Figure 2.

Possible Cause
The agent server for the Internet Explorer is incorrectly configured.
Solution
- Log in to the OMU portal through the PC where the upgrade failures.
- If you can successfully log in to the OMU portal, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
- If you cannot log in to the OMU portal, go to the next step.
NOTE:The C/S client will access the URL of the OMU portal during the upgrade.
- Open Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet Options.
- Click LAN settings on the Connections tab page, and check whether an agent server is used.
- If no agent server is used, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
- If an agent server is used, go to the next step.
- Select Bypass proxy server for local addresses.
- Click Advanced. Add the network segment where the OMU portal locates to Exceptions.
- Click OK to finish the agent server setting.
- Check whether the fault is rectified.
If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
