Hi friend.

The C-band (Conventional Band): ranges from 1530 nm to 1565nm and represents the conventional band. Optical fiber shows the lowest loss in the C-band and occupies a large advantage in long-distance transmission systems. It is usually used in many metropolitan areas combined with WDM, long-distance, ultra-long-distance, and submarine optical transmission systems with EDFA technology.

The Extended C band: is a spectrum segment used on the basis of the traditional C band, as shown in the following figure.

Hi Hamza!

How are you doing today?

Probably offtopic - as you asked for 'transmission networks' (I assume optical).

But perhaps funny to mention: in satellite communications, there is also a C-band and extended C-band denomination:

C-band and Super Extended C-band (Satellite Comms)

note: Super Extended C-band, extends on the lower part of the spectrum in Rx

Greetings,

AhXing
